Bharatanatyam is a classical dance form of that originated in the temples of TamilNadu. This dance form denotes various 19th and 20th century reconstructions of Sadir, the art of temple dancers called Devadasi. It was described in the treatise Natya Shastra byBharata around the beginning of the Common Era. Bhatara Natyam is known for its grace, purity, tenderness, and sculpturesque poses. Lord Shiva is considered the God of this dance form. Today, it is one of the most popular and widely performed dance styles and is practiced by male and female dancers all over the world.

Rabindra Nirtya is the term given to the three dance-drams composed by Bengal’s poet laureate Rabindranath Togore: Chitranhada, Chandilika, Shyama. The principa; characteristic of these works is that the story is told entirely through dance and song. The dances included in them were in the dance form created by Tagore.  The key point of Rabindra nritya is expressive dancing.  Facial expressions play a very vital role. The dance should entirely emerge herself / himself into the character while maintaining the proper dancing style. Nowadays even something Kathak and Kuchipuri dancing style have also been performed in Rabindra Nriya.

Kathak is the major classical dance form of northern India. It is one of the most dynamic theater arts in the world. The word Kathak derived from katha, means “the art of storytelling”. This dance is derived from the dance dramas of ancient India. With dance, music and mime these storyteller of ancient India would bring to life the great scriptures and epic so ancient times, especially the great Indian epics- the Mahabharata and the Ramayana- and the Purnas of Sanskrit literature.

Creative Dance is a dance; combining dance technique with the art of expression gives students the necessary tools to express their feelings through movement.  Students develop dance skills, through traditional modern and ballet exercises, providing them with a strong foundation in dance technique. They develop creative skills as they are encouraged to explore the different qualities of movement in relation to space, time, force, and flow. As they explore, they become aware of their different body parts and how they can move them, discover new ways of moving, create design, and express feeling. Yoga postures and stories and relaxation techniques are integrated into the class to connect body, mind, and sprit.
